can I change jobs withing the same company

Can I take up a different position withing the same company while I am waiting for 485 to be approved. Postion is not really similar to current position.

Current postion: System Analyst

Postion I want to try for: Corporate Negotiator

I don't think this will go well if I get an RFE. Any input ?

Just tired of this whole mess.
 
Yes, this might not work per AC21. Although title difference is generally not an issue, analyst is definitely not the same as negotiator.
