Can I change employer safely?

My I-485 is approved.Finger printing is done on Nov 23rd 2001. Results are awaited. Currently I am employed but no salary is there because I am not on project. 180 days are over after I-485 has been applied. Some new employer is willing to hire me but worried about my status.In this case Can I safely change my employer?Your answer is greately appreciated.
If I change how can I convince my new employer that there are no concerns or he does not have to file H1 for me. Please answer.

  Appreciate your help and reply.My RD is July 18th 2001, ND is Sept 10th, 2001, FD is Nov 23rd 2001.
What I want to know is 180 days are passed today after Receipt date of I-485 date.
How safe it is to change the employer because I am not receiving salary now.
Even if I change employer what precautions I should take if I get Interview
and what documentation I should have? Please help anyone.

My opinions are based on what I have read or come across on this site, best person to answer is the person who
have undergone this situation.

I think once you complete 180 days you have no problem changing you job, if you don\'t get RFE/interview you are fine
and get your GC without any problems, but if you get RFE/interview for paystuff/employment letter etc etc..... then you
have to have all the documents related to your old employer and the employment letter from your new employer/salary
stuff with proper title/designation to the interview. In case of RFE submit only those documents which are asked
and for interview show them those documents which he/she ask for. Folks who are getting RFE after change of job
are mostly getting interview nothing to worry, seen couple of folks going thru this without any problem.

180 days !!

This 180 days magic figure is including Saturday/Sunday or WITHOUT Saturday/Sunday.
 
did you say your 485 is approved?

then why is it that you are waiting for fp results and why did you mention that your 180 days are over? i am confused.

  No I-485 is not approved. My 180 days are over since RD date of I-485. I said finger print was done on 11/23/01.
Waiting still for I-485 approval.Hope I made sense.
