Can I call my parents on EAD

Hi guys,

I am currently on EAD and my H1 visa has already been expired.

I am planning to call my parents from India to visit me and I was curiuos to check to see on what basis the embassy would issue visa to my parents since I am on my EAD and I dont have a valid H1.

Would really appreciate your inputs in this regard.

in theory it should not matter

I think in theory, it should not matter.

but in my case my parents visa was rejected. they have been here before when i sponsered them on H1.
But this time i donot know the reason
 
yes they will issue the visa based on EAD. Please do ensure u send the photo copy of both sides of the EAD ALONG with the APPROVAL letter where the card was attached ( AGAIN BOTH SIDES ) . Of course this goes along with the other papers like your passport notarized copy, etc.

Yes you can. I brought my mother here late last year and they gave her 1 year visa at the Chennai consulate. She had been here before in 1999, when I was on H1.

Send copies of all pages of your passport along with other papers. They asked for it when my mother went for the interview, as I had sent only the filled pages of my passport. But, still they approved the visa without any issues.
