Hi All,

I am an Indian citizen , right now I am in Germany for a short term assignment. Meanwhile one of the US based companies applied for H1B, and the petition has been approved (The documents are on the way).

My concern is, Can I appear for VISA Interview here in Frankfurt - Germany?
is there any problem in getting VISA, when we apply from the country other than home country?

did anybody have experiences with US Embassy -Frankfurt, Germnay?

Thanks & Regards,
Pavan

You can apply, issuing the visa is always up to US Counsel wish.

I think if you have been in germany for less than a year, then I think they would ask you to apply for visa in India. Moreover, I think it would be better if you apply for visa in India.

I also think that it'd be better for you to apply for Visa from your home country India. But it's all up to the US Consulate to issue the visa or not.

I think i better suggest to go to your home country and apply for visa. They may say to go to your home country if you goes to stamping in Germany.

Thanks
