Can I attend any Canadian Consulate for my H1 B Visa 3-Year Extension...

Hi,

I came to US in 2002 attending at London Embassy. Now its time for my 3 Year Extension and i am confused about where I need to go to get my visa extended...

1. Do I need to go back to my Home Country (INDIA) to get this done? or Can I attend at any Canadian Consulate...

2. Will there be any issues (/ things I need to consider) if I have an option of attending a Canadian Consulate...

Please provide me your valuable suggestions... I am planning to get this done sometime in the next couple of months...

--------------- if you got H1 extended from USCIS then your extension approval will have I-94 attached at lower right side and you can stay and work in US till I-94 validity date and when you next time visit India then get H1 visa stamp

-------------------- Canadian Consulate dont stamp visa for US. US consulate in Canada can stamp the visa but if Visa is rejected in Canada you cannot enter US from Canada and have to go directly to India from Canada and then get Visa stamping in India and enter US

I have my extension approved and my question is - Is it must to go to INDIA to get my H1 Visa Stamp or can I do that at a US Consulate in Canada /Mexico. The reason because I would want to get this done in Canada / Mexico without taking any days off ....

Is Canada still an Option for people (other than who graduate from a US University) who doesnt want to go to INDIA to get their H1 Visa Stamp done?

---Yes ,but if Visa is rejected in Canada you cannot enter US from Canada and have to go directly to India from Canada and then get Visa stamping in India and enter US
