Can I ask here about attorney fees?

I was sent a quote by an immigration attorney for a J visa and I was wandering if I'm being ripped off or not.

Is it allowed to post numbers (money) here in the forum?

Attorney's fees vary by location and complexity of the situation. You should interview several to find one you have confidence in. Remember immigration law is federal - not state - practice so the attorney can be anywhere in the US. You are posting to a forum sponsored by a law firm; you might consider contacting them. (I do NOT work for them.)

Actually, I did ask other attorneys.
But it seems that they all have different opinions about the J visa.
I'm not sure why some of them don't feel confident in suggesting to work on a J1 visa application.

However the lawyer that quoted my case went straight to a J1 visa without considering other types of visas.

Do you know why this might happen?
