Can I apply for EB-EA - i am in 6th year of H1-B

Hello.

I am a postdoc in a medical university NY
my qualifications;

1. PhD from Europe.
2. 15 research publications in top 10 biology journals (7 First author and rest contributing author)
3. Press coverage (10 press clippings) for two of my works (one first author and second contributing author).
4. Over 180 citations for my first author paper
5. Over 60 citations (trends in genetics) for my other first author paper
6. rest first author papers have more than 30 citations
7. I played a major role in establishing and mentoring research staff at a reputed reserch center
8. 2 years as a postdoc
9. peer-review : one invitation for review
10. One small travel grant


I am in my 6th year of H1. I applied niw before entering my 6th year.

is my background good for eb-1ea.

also, now that I slid 140 while i am in 5th year of h1, can i apply eb1-ea now while niw is pending.

You should meet two criteria without any problem (articles and contribution to your field).

The two others you could claim are leading role and media coverage. It all depends on how much evidence you can give and how important each of them was.

Your credentials are strong enough and meet 3 strong criteria for EA. Claim 1. Published material about the alien (media) 2. Original contribution 3. Authorshp

You can file multiple petitions simultaneously in different categories. Your H1b can be extended based on your pending or approved 140.
