So here is the situation, my brother is a US citizen and when my brother file for my parents they immediately become LPRs but when it comes to me i have two options;

1.SB-1 visa which i think too risky for my situation but still considering on it.
2.F-1 visa which i think i can get it very easily without a doubt.

Here are my questions:

If i get a F-1 visa and go to US, can my LPR parents file for me to get a green card?
I am afraid by doing that i can risk my F-1 status which is not a good option for me since i want to study in the US,so what do you think about that? By doing that do i have a risk of deportation?

Also if my parents file for me and somehow it got accepted can i wait for the visa number to become available while in the US with my F-1 status?

Thank you in advance for your help!

You can adjust status from F1 if the F2A visa number becomes available when you still have F1 status.

However, in another thread you said your parents have abandoned their LPR status by being outside the US for the past 10 years. If their LPR status is somehow still valid, yours would also be intact because you're their minor child, which would make the F1 visa and F2A petition unnecessary.

And if their LPR status is not valid, they can't petition for you.

"your parents have abandoned their LPR status by being outside the US for the past 10 years" which is true ,unfortunately their LPR status is not valid but they are going to have their green cards through my brother who is a US citizen and he is going to file for them.

When it comes to my situation, you're saying that i can adjust my status while in the US by my parents filing for me and it wouldn't be a problem at all and i won't jeopardize my F-1 visa status by doing that?

Thanks!

If they file for you before you get the visa (or even move to the US with green cards), that would make it more difficult for you to get the F1 visa.

But if you already have the F-1 visa and are inside the US, your parents filing for you won't hurt your visa. However, once you travel outside the US, you might be refused reentry with the F-1 visa if the officer at the border or airport notices the petition they filed for you.
