Can I-485 get approved after FP expire?

Hi All,
My FP will expire on Sep/12/2004. Today I got my I-140 (RD: Mar/11/2003) approved. My I-485 (RD: Apr/25/2003 is still pending), is there any possibility that I-485 case get approved after FP expire? Or INS must ask me do a second FP?
Waiting for you guys' suggestion.

How do yo compute the FP expiry date? Thanks.

FP valid date is 15 months, so if you did your FP last Jun/12, then this Sep/12 is the expire date for FP.

Is the date you did FP or the date FP is received?
I did FP on July25,2003 and is received on Aug 08, so 15 months is from 0725 or 0808?

Actually, I don't know either. I did it on Jun/12/2003, and it is received on Jun/20/2003, I still use the date I did, not the date received.
