Can i-485 be expedited????

Hi there, I called the Cust Serv. Num today and after going trough my LIN... they offered to send a Request to expedite the case since I had submitted all the RFE they wanted and I insisted that my case was already due. The guy said he sent the request based on severe financial loss due to I have to travel Outside the US and I need the GC ASAP. Is this true? Can they really Expedite a AOS?
Let me know if anyone ever heard of this. The guy told me I will hear from NSC within 5 days.

I think it can be expedite but I don't believe financial loss is among the reasons for expedition. They would expedite it if it's crucial for national interests and things like that.
