can GC stay aboard for Citizenship?

hi,

my wife will get her GC soon. I am USC. I have a job offer overseas. If I go there work, can my wife be eligble for citizenship application after 3-year overseas? What if the company is headquartered in US?

Also if my child is born overseas, is she(he) a USC by birth?

I think she have to spend 18 months out of 36 in US. Also, you have to make sure that she is in US every 6 months otherwise she will disrupt her continuous residency. If the Child is born to atleast one USC, then he/she is eligible for USC. I believe you have to file N-600 but I may be wrong about the form number. Check with INS wbsite.
