Can Employer Cancel I-485 ?

Hi Guys,

I heard that the Employer has the hold on I-485 only during the first six months and after that he loses the authourity to cancel it - Can anyone shed some light on this?

Actually they can not withdraw I-485

To my knowledge,

Technically your company can not withdraw 485, as it is filed by you(labor and 140 are by your company). But, they can withdraw I-140 petition, there by invalidating your 485 petition. However, as per AC21, if your 485 petition is pending for more than 180 days, you can switch to similar job in any other company.

Generally companies don\'t withdraw I-140, unless they really want to do something bad against you.
