I went throug GC thru a lawyer; Now I qualify for US Citizionship. Do I have to apply thru a lawyer or it is simple to do it by myself. What most people do;

No you do not need a lawyer, US Citizenship -Naturalization application is more straight fwd unless you have a complex immigration history/events after obtaining GC or did not disclose material facts about pre-GC. USCIS provides the very friendly and useful instructions to follow and application itself is not that complex (again, all depends on your residency, immigration history..) ...Have a look...

Better off do it yourself.......just like DreamUSA said, unless you have plenty money to waste.....;=}

As long as you have not commited any crimes or were arrested or had unpaid taxes etc..., you should apply yourself. I would recommend that you go through the N400 application and any place where your answer is No (except the last part) then you should seek advice from someone before applying. One point - be honest on the application, you should not apply with the assumption that they will not find out (expunged records, etc... still need to be mentioned).
