Can Anyone Give Info Abt Additional Processing?

Hi All,
My wife is DV winner of 2008 and in April,08 we hav faced our interview. All is well but we are under additional processing. The concering officer said that we were qualified but for some official process they need time and embassy will call me back by phone.

Can any one make me understand wht is going on really?

That sounds like your case is in a background check (where are your from?). You can do nothing than waiting and hope that they'll finish it before September 30.

2nd letter contains a page " For additional processing" - did u get the same paper in ur 2nd package? Do I have to fill up it before our visa interview? Me, my husband and two under 12 child . I am the principal applicant. Pls answer it quickly, our interview on 15th july at DHAKA

We dont had anything like that in our 2nd letter. Backgound checks for European DV winners are rare.

Admin Processing

Mr. Shahal.

My case was also like you. I was interviewed in April this year and I have received my Visa few days ago. My Admin Processing took almost four months. The length of Admin Processing varies from case to case depending upon Nationality, Name etc.

It is very important to keep calling the embassy and asking about the status of your case. They will give a standard reply i.e. 'your case is in process'. This should not discourage you from calling them. Call them once in every two weeks. Occasionlly send an email to them also.

This is the advice that I got from a friend who lives in USA. I did as he said. I did this for about two months and my name got cleared.
