can anybody tell me what LUD is?

my EAD is pending for more than 90 days and I made an infopass appointment with the local(dallas) USCIS, but unfortunately it is closed for some repair work in the building and they r not sure when they r goin to open... I have been checking my case status online in the USCIS website but no change.... my question is what is LUD,,, I have been reading about it in some threads but couldn't figure it out??? what is LUD? is it some thing u check online? if so how? any input will be appreciated.

LUD stands for Last Updated Date. You can check this if you create an account for yourself on https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/index.jsp and enter your receipt numbers. That will create a portfolio of your cases and will display the LUDs.

I don't know if anyone could tell for sure what prompts a change in the LUD... it is common, however, to see your LUD change once or twice in the couple days leading up to the approval.
