Can anybody help me for my stolen Green Card process

Hi,

Am Nancy my Green Card was stolen in India and my husband is in USA. Please help me and give me guidance to process my Green Card. Am desperate to reach USA this process could be start in USA, if yes then how long it will take.

First - contact your husband, who is in the USA according to you.

Second - ask your husband to provide you with the paperwork or the mailer [usually USCIS process to acquire the greencard entail a long and tedious paperwork trail]

Third - report the stolen greencard to the embassy

Fourth - your husband can file for a duplicate greencard [the process does not take long]

And, the embassy probably has a way to stamp your passport for use as a temporary GC.

You need to know your Alien Number A#
All what you need to do is to get transportation letter from embassy/consulate.

No way consulate/embassy stamp your passport.

PS: It will cost more than 1000$ to restore green card (payment in the consulate, and fee to be paid in US)
