Can anone predict whats happening with my 485 !!!!!

Not to discount folks already waiting in the line ahead of me ...but....

Called up USCIS...end of last year....was told that all checks completed..waiting for adjudicator to pick up my case....

Sent emails to FBI for name check ...no response

Set up status inquiry....no change in LUD ?????

IS it possible that they just forgot to take up our cases ...!!!!!

check my sign...PD = 12/2001 ???

Is there any theory to explain my situation ?????

Ok are you EB2 or EB3? Also if you are EB3, are you from one of the 3 designated countries where the PD has retrogressed?
 
My 2 cents...

Possibly held up by lack of manpower, or stuck in name check or maybe
like my cousin in San Jose, your file could have been misplaced.

Next steps:

Have you contacted the FBI about the status of your name check?

Have you contacted your Congressman or Senator?

Have you talked to your attorney?

Have you called the Customer Service number?
 
I am EB2.....

If you check out my signature.....

PD is 12/2001...So I was not affected either way .....

Written several emails/faxes/snail mails to FBI ...No response...
Last week filed FOIPA to FBI requesting to release records....

Done..No change of status since last 3 weeks

Attorney doesnt care..... After all his got his dues....

Stuff not done....
1. Contacting ombudsman....
2. faxing expedite letter
3. Mailing director of Vermont Service center making him aware of my case.

I think I will wait till end of this month and be reasonably patient ..

Your thoughts ....Have I left out anything ????

I am in the state as you are.
I had also written to VSC to update my case status. Nothing happened.

it might be a matter of a few days for someone to pick up your case or mine (hopefully)
it looks like they are attacking the older ones including our cases now.
have you noticed that off late, earlier cases from 2002 and 2001 are getting approved?

i am sure we will get approved---this is a trying game....
