I just got my GC approved - along with that of my son. He is 11. Is he eligible to get a SSN?
I checked SS website QnA, but could not get a clear answer to this questions.
Your input is welcome.

Of course, and he should. My daughters got their SSNs when they were three months old.

Birth in the US V/S Abroad...

Thanks for your response. However, were your daughters born in the US? If yes, then they were automatically eligible for SSN at the birth. What about a derivative getting a GC through a primary petition holder, such as in the case of my son?

Yes, he can, by showing his passport and GC in SSA office.
