I am currently married and have small children, but my husband and I are separated on good terms and the children live with him. The separation is not court ordered or "legal separation" in any way. Just two people agreeing to live apart while maintaining legal marriage for cultural and bureaucratic reasons.
Since my separation is not legal, I have to fill the form for the lottery as "MARRIED" and enter my husband's and kids information and photos, which is perfectly fine.
The question is, what happens if I win and want to proceed with the migration alone since my husband and kids are perfectly happy and do not want to go to America. Is it possible for me to continue with the forms, interview, and eventually fly alone without my husband showing up or doing any of that? Or am I forced to have him do everything with me since he is (unavoidably) included in the entry?
Thank you.
