Hello,

I am new to this Forum, an I am really confused with USCIS rules. Here is my situation:
I am currently on J-1 visa and I am not subject to 2-year home residency requirement. I am a postdoctoral researcher with many years teaching and research experiences and many publications. my contract will finish in couple of months. I would like to apply for EB-1/EB-2. I would like to know if I can or I am eligible to do that? If I do what will be my chance to get approval?

I really appreciate any help and comments

Thank you in advance

Yes you can definitely apply. I'm on J-1 and I applied in EB1-OR category recently. I was subjected to 2 Yr HRR and I received waiver for that.
Good luck...

Thank you very much for your reply. I appreciate your time if you can tell me what I should include into my documnets to get it approved ( not getting a denial).

Thank you again for your help
