Calling TSC on 07/18/07 and strange message coming on case status

Hi,

Just called TSC at 800-375-5283 and after entering the case number it is saying that they can't find the status at this time due to temporary problem in their system? No option coming to connect to IO.

Any one getting this message? Update...............
 
Just another day of their system problem.

System Upgrade

I think USCIS is upgrading their InfoPas System and they said, it would be unavailable for 4 - 5 hrs on July 18. This may be the reason, you guys are experiencing the problem.
 
Same for me, just tried it at 10:15 am EDT. Online case status is fine. I wonder if they are rewiring the phone system to block the POJ trick callers:)
 
I experienced the same thing at 1048AM EST.
An hour before, I recd a call from 214 area code; individual called, said from USCIS in TX. Confirmed DOB, Farther and Mother's names, address. Checked if I had a previous I-485 filed. Asked if I was single. Congratulations, as of now, you are a Permanent Resident of the US. Online status will be updated tommorrow and you should receive a card within a week.

Congratulations!!..I like this TSC guy who calls over the phone and approves the GC. Did you give your Cell phone number in your GC application?

It is due to some maintenance work for USCIS. It will be down from 9 am to 1 pm EST. ( Refer www.murthy.com)

I also tried this morning, it said, it cannot find my case status and the line was hung .

Good luck folks, lets check after 1 pm EST.

The line is up with not much use.

I was able to get hold of IO after waiting 30 min.... She told me that my case is still pending, fp cleared and name check is pending...

7/5/07 info pass - officer told me my name check is cleared in 9/2005 itself, just waiting for visa number.

last week TSC IO told me same.... but today different nc pending... No idea how to trust/whome to trust...

Waited over one hour

As gcdelay suggested early in this thread, we called just about 1:00 PM. It got through, but waited so long. At first the message said the estimated wait time at that point was 20 to 30 min. So my spouse used the handfree of the phone and kept working while waiting. In the end it took over an hour to get hold of an IO. You can imagine so many calls are being made right after yesterday's announcement (and the system problem in the morning). But the bottom line, it got through. It's working now.
 
hwy yellowrocks maybe u need to get away from ur computer and take a vacation for a little bit.Make sure it isn`t around a animal farm though.
Not trying to make fun of u-but am stuck in the same namecheck BS and I don`t think getting too much upset over it will make it faster.
When the USCIS Gods are kind on us-green cards(& hopefully green bucks) will flow-till then .........
 
Hi,

I just called TSC and after intial options it tried to connect to IO at TSC but after 2 mins it transferred to USCIS customer service. I got immidiately connected to a rep. She has taken all the details and opened a SR. When I called last week she didn't open SR becasue I changed my add 10 days back only. This time she knows that I changed my add recently and still opened SR. She can't see any info on my case except my 485 RD. Nothing else to mention.
