poongunranar and other AP RFE filers:

I am very desperate to know...how long after your AP RFE was received by them for a copy of I-140 approval notice were you eventually approved???

I will likely be fired if I don't go to an extremely important client meeting in Canada at the end of February and I applied for AP renewal in July 2003, but my RFE was submitted at the end of January 2004 with my I-140 copy.

How long is it taking from the receipt of the I-140 approval notice to approval???
 
Here is my scenario ...
AP notice date 04/18/2003.
RFE issued on 12/10/2003 for I-140 and received after 3 weeks.
RFE reply on 01/10/04.
No action yet.

Although, since then there have been an RFE issued for I-485 (Employment verification letter and reason for not registering in National Registration) which was replied on 01/29/04. No news yet on either AP or I-485!

But maybe my AP has been sidelined because of 485 case actions.

RD - 05/27/2003
RFE Issued - 12/29/2003
RFE Response Received - 01/15/2004
AP Approved - 02/02/2004

Yet to receive it in the mail.

It seems that it's about 2-3 weeks from receipt to apoproval. This gives me hope.

Yet for fjaffery, it is still about one month and no approval yet, perhaps due to pending approval of I-485.

It doesn't look like there is a pattern in their approval of AP after they receive the response to an RFE.

Here are my wife's AP details :
RD - 05/05/03
ND - 05/06/03
RFE (for I-140 copy) - 12/13/03
Response received by USCIS - 01/06/04
Waiting for approval.

But reading through the threads here, it looks like there have been a few approvals around this time frame, so let's hope that you get your AP soon and that you will be able to make it to the meeting in Canada. Good luck and hang in there.

I am here with my wife AP Details.
She got RFE Regarding her AP in DEC 2003(Last week). We(our Lawyer) Sent Reply in Jan(First Week) 2004. Y'day Online status show its approved.

So its almost One month.
