Calling IIO

If you already have the EAC#

Do not even bother the IIO again.
Just press 1, press 1 again and wait to input your EAC#
Then you get status.

Thanks gcghunter, but...

I check my status over AVM everyday. It is same everyday. So I wanted to talk with IIO to find out what is happening. I spoke with IIO already. My question is when can I call again? Is there a time limit within which we should not call????

I think this is nonsense..., you can call whenever you want.. what do you mean bug an iio,

that is their job..That is why they are paid..btw, they are just customer service representative.. iio is just a misnomer.

What IIO do

I wonder if IIO only take calls from customers and answer thier questions, or they are the same person who process cases. If it\'s the second I\'d prefer not to bother them and let them spend that time to process cases.

If you see your case is close enough to get approved call every week

All,

If you see your case is close enough to get approved call every week.
My details:
PD 03/99
I-485 ND : 01/18/00
I-485 AD : 07/13/01
Stamped at Charlotte on 07/26/01
Card Received on 12/17/01

I used to call IIO very often. There is one time one IIO said "Sir, nothing has changed since you called yesterday, and nothing has changed since you called this morning". I didn\'t give up. I was keep calling. In my case there was no RFE. The different answers I got from INS is "every thing looks good on your file", "the file is at the place where it should be" and "it\'s like approved, but I can\'t say it\'s approved". Finally they approved it. I\'m guessing they put my file on visa hold since they thought my case as EB-3 even though I applied as EB-2.

I don\'t think calling INS atleast once a week would put your GC process in jeopardy.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

WISH YOU ALL GOOD LUCK!!!

I am not sure how you guys do it.

I have been able to get through only once..that too for a change of address request ( I guess I was lucky).. the second time I had to contact the IIO because of an emergency and did not get through at all..and I have stopped trying to speak to them.. I only check the Automated messages.

Hi! sudar...

maybe you can enlighten us on how to contact IIOs..how to first of all get through the busy signal...then how long to keep holding for the IIO to appear on line......

what times are best to call...day of the week...and hour..you know what I mean...since you called so often...did you find any pattern....did you arrive at any conclusion....

thanks for sharing with all of us....

No Title

Has anyone spoken to an IIO today and heard anything about where is VSC with their 485 processing?

Did not hear anything about approvals recently? is VSC moving these days?
