By the looks of things, I'm not the only one who's awaiting the long and tiresome result!

I thought I'd start a thread for all the folks in here who're waiting for the result.

I'm 21 now ( Dad filed for asylum when I was 19 ), currently here as a F-1 student. I'm in my junior year and it's been about 7 and a half months since my application was submitted. I went for the biometrics back in September and haven't heard of anything after that. What's your situation? When did you file? Did you go for biometrics already? Any follow ups after that?

I'm sure we would all appreciate if the ones who went through the same ordeal shared their experiences as well. Also, do we need to go for an interview for sure?

P.S. I'm one of the unlucky ones who got denied for Economic Hardship ( Work permit ) when I reapplied. Last year, I received one after applying for it reasoning my situation ( i.e. main sponsor dad himself is here as an asylum seeker ) but this time I got denied?!

I-730 applications are extremely backlogged now.

my i-730 case was pending for over 2 years and then it was suddenly approved without doing any biometric. hope you get approved soon

It's good to hear that they have processed some cases. It means that they don't forget all the I-730 applications pending. Let's hope that they will process soon the other cases.
