Hi Friends,

I just called VSC to find out my I-485 status. I spoke to nice lady. She told me that everything is ready on my case and waiting for some one to work on my case. she also told me that my name check is done . Does it mean I will get approval soon. see my details below

Labor PD - Sep 19th, 2001 (EB3, india)
I-485 ND - Feb 3rd,2004
FP1- Feb 17th,2005,
LUD's - 02/24,02/25,02/28(FP received)
I-485 AD -- Pretty soon hopefully

Please call the 1-800-375-5283 NSC and follow the below steps. Here is the sequence of steps i followed to get to this:

Press 1 (for english),
press 2 (for existing case),
press 6 (for case statues etc),
listen to options and then press ( for knowing your receipt no.),
enter the receipt # to get the automated response saying blah blah blah and also at the end saying this is the most upto date information on your case and our customer the same info national customer service agents have (i totally agree with this).
Then choose to continue to the next step "press 3" . choose 3
Listen to the options-
Option 4 "if you feel if you submitted together and one of the applications is left out and not processed (don't remmember the exact message text ..but something about companion case "

You get transferred to VSC after choosing option 4.
 
I beleive you will get approved soon and wish so. Did the lady say that your name check is done, herself or you asked for it? Also did she say when it was done?
I gave FP few days after you, ND May 2004 and still waiting.

Hi,

I asked the lady whether my my name check is done or not. she said YEA, but did not say when was done.

we have pretty close FP dates, let's hope for the best.

I just called VSC to find out my wife I-131 status. She asked all info. and finally said please check the status on website or hotline and mentioned no other information available with me and hanged the phone.

HI gcluckyr,

I tried to call VSC by following the method you suggested many times but when ever I enter my EAC#, I always get the message "Sorry, Due to technical problems with our system, we cannot access your information at this time" and it does not give options further. It only asks me to press "9" to go to main menu.

Is this something that i should be worried of?
Could you please suggest me to call VSC in any other way?

Hi,

I had no problems when I enter EAC# . I heard same message as when I enter EAC # on the web.

Try one more time
 
Enter a diff. EAC

i have seen people having this prob if they have initiated inquiry on their case. the get around is enter a different EAC say of an approved EAD/AP etc. By the way they track all calls so do not call them frequently.

I agree

I certainly with the system not finding the EAC#. When you initiate an inquiry (like I did), for some "odd" reason, your EAC# is not recognized. I was worried initially, but when I tried my wife's EAC, it took it and finally spoke to VSC person. She told it's on track..god know when it will be cleared as I am already 6 months past my dates.

My attorney is going to file for my 3rd EAD/AP. I am really praying and hoping this would trigger my 485 approval.
