Situation::I called CIS on 7/17 for address change. On 8/4 I received an email saying RFE has issued. But It is about 6 days ma and lawyer neither of us haven't received the RFE letter. I called my lawyer he told me it takes 6-10 days to receive RFE. But I saw a lot of people got Notices in mail after 3-4 days of USCIS notification email. I started getting nervous.

So finally I called USCIS to make sure my address change has nothing to do with my lawyer receiving RFE notice? The lady said No.

Also She said I will have to call them after 30 days for address change or RFE and she has no access to the personal files so I will have to wait.

Well I guess I will wait.
 
Hi

Check address that was mentioned in 485 receipt notice. INS sends RFE letter to that address. In my case, they printed invalid address and post office sent back saying 'UNDELIVERABLE'.

I have also not recd my RFE which was mailed on 6/29 . On 7/29 I called USCIS Customer service number and they said they will send a copy within 2-3 weeks. What did you do? Have you recd a duplicate copy yet? Please let me know.

My attorney sent request for duplicate copy of RFE and recd by INS on 7/14. But still waiting for RFE COPY...

But status updated on 7/14. As per the current status, they are treating enquiry letter as response to RFE. :confused:

Ok, Now is it possible that USCIS mailed the RFE notice later not on the date they mentioned in their email. Because my address change should not effect my lawyer getting RFE by mail????

Thanks Baadshah, But how is my address change is related to my lawyer not getting RFE notice..? Or I am hurraying up it takes about 10-15 days to get RFe notice in mail???
 
If you are only the primary contact for your case, they will send only to you i.e may be to your old address. once it goes back to USCIS, they will re-send that letter to your new address( they get new address from post office).
In your case, I think you need direct communication with service center.
Send a letter/fax to service center. that may work.

I think the primary contact of my case was my lawyer but when I changed my address on 7/20. The lady asked me for the Old Address, the New Address and the Receipt number. She didn't ask me any question about primary /secondary contact.. So far my lawyer got all the information directly. DO you think it my address change has anything to do with my lawyer's address..

Can you please give me a step by step direction with the mailing address and fax number to USCIS?

It looks like you are really panicking on the RFE mail issue.
Just my 2 cents

why don't you give the legitimate 14 days that’s mentioned on your online status?

One more thing you address change has nothing to with your Lawyers address. Your lawyer will get the RFE not you.

I don't think calling Customer service again and again will solve anything.
Good Luck and I hope your lawyer get your RFE in couple of days.

This question is been asked many time on this board "How gets the RFE".
Even I asked it 2 weeks back. I also never took liberty to search the forum first before asking same questions again and again.

Why people don't reply beacuse they think these are the redundent questions.

As you said before your lawyer is getting all the "stuff" then same thing will happen this time.
If 14 days are passed then you can call CIS again and find out.
Just relax,
