I called TSC using the POJ method and good lady answered my call, briefly this is how it went

"this is TSC... may I have yor name please?"

I gave my name and ever thing else she asked for.

looooog pause just backgroung clicking and typing (like 3min)
then se sais NC FP are all clear and the case has nor been asigned to an officer yet,

"I'll send this to my supervisor so that an officer can be assigned to this case"

"You should hear something in 30 days"

So lets wait and see

Mean while I applied for EAD a few days back lets see what I get first

It is all EyeWash they give on the Phone.

they told the same things to me 4 months back, till now nothing.

I dont want to open my mouth to say more on these and I will stop here, b'cause I get all bad words to say and I dont want to tell :)

Go ahead and call most likely seeing your signature they will say visa # not available


This is the POJ Trick for Prince of the Jungle a former member of this board who discovered the techenique

Dial the 1-800-375-5283 number and choose:
1 for English
2 to bypass the intro
2 to check status of a pending application
6 to confirm you are trying to check status
1 to confirm that you know your receipt number
1 to confirm that it starts with SRC
then enter your receipt number
1 to confirm you entered correct SRC number
3 to continue to next step
4 for something about cases separated or some other crap... this is what gets you somebody at TSC. They'll say: "Texas Service Center, what's the receipt number"

I called around Dec. 20 and the IO told me almost the same thing.

Guess what, on January 22. It was approved.

Wish you the same luck.

I was told the same bull shit and my case has been pending for the last six months...:confused::confused::confused:

Did they tell you the case is in the processing unit or department.. some thing like that.
 
She did not.. It was like she did not want to speak more then three words at a time. She was only answering in yes no types..
She said that the case is pending.. then I asked specifically about the NC and if it has been assigned to any officer.. to which she answered yes and no.. thats it. I asked if she could do anything to expedite the case.. she said nothing in my hands.. you'll have to sit and wait.. hang up.

I'll ask my wife to call next wk.. what should we ask about the unit or dept?

I think that means waiting to assign to officer. This is what I understand it so far, it all depend on what they decide, they must be assigning very old filed cases, even though newer cases are ready to process and lined up in the queue but yet not picked up.

I called today to find out about the status of my name check. The IO said she could not disclose the status of my name check but she did say that my case was now in the hands of an adjudicator. And if my case has already cleared the name check, then it is ready to be adjudicated.

This sounds highly un-likely since my I-140 was approved just last week. Also my RD is 08/14/2007 whereas TSC is currently processing 06/21/2007 I-485 cases. But I see no reason why she would just make up information like that when I had not even asked for any additional information.

Anyway just sharing the results of my first call to USCIS.

I called USCIS today at TSC. A lady answered my call . She was awefully rude, and asked me to check online or by calling the 1-800 number. She did not even want to take my reciept number. Why cant the customer care people be a bit more polite? It took me 15-20 mins just to get to her, and then to get such an aweful response is really bad.
