Called NSC - July 2000 RD is still NOT assigned

I called the NSC this morning to see the status of my case, the IIO stated that it will take another 1.5 to 2 months before it is assigned. My details are for those who are interested:
PD: 10/97
RD July 31, 2000
ND: August 23, 2000
LIN-00-241-XXXXX

That\'s really strange

Per their processing times, they cliamed last month that they processed 485s with RDs till 07/14/00. It is such a strange place that we can\'t say wha\'t right and what\'s not.
