Finally I got thru. Had to say "HI", even though it was no use.

She: Can I have ur case #
Me: Blah Blah
She: Address ..
Me: Blah blah
She: Another 2 weeks before it is assigned.
Me: I heard 2 weeks back 8 months ago.
She: Yea we are doing 11/16
Me: You've been stuck on that for the past 9 months, time to deliver baby.
She: HAHA, I know, we have a huge backlog.
Me: Yea, I'd have never guessed that, but tell me something, how come people from april have gotten rfes while mine hasn't even been assigned.
She: Impossible.
Me: Here's a case # (Blah blah)
She: This is family based.
Me: Ma'am, that is employment based, and I know that for sure.
She: Yes it is employment, and I don't know why, we go by date which is 11/16
Me: Do LA cases take longer?
She: Yes they could.
Me: Are you actively working on 485s?
She: Yes we are.
Me: So you are telling me that anyone who has ND > 11/16 isn't assigned/approved/rfe'd yet?
She: I don't know.
Me: Well my FP's expired atleast send me a 2nd FP.
She: The officer will decide about that when he looks at your case.
Me: Which will be?
She: Another 2 weeks.
Me: Ok thanks bye.

(Damn these people are useless).
 
Next time I talk, I will be a little bold in my questions, and I will record the entire convo. and post it here as Mp3. Sound cool?

I don't know why you waste your time calling up an IIO. It is a definite set up for heart break!

It is horrible to wait close to 2 years and then to hear an IIO say the same thing that they told you 8 MONTHS AGO! BLOODY MORONS! I wish you could seriously do something about them. I think they are trained to do just one thing, if someone asks when case will be assigned say 2 weeks, if it is after the JIT, say wait for JIT. That is all.

HeHEHE well this baby has not gone through the extended security scan so u might have to wait for another trimester .
 
I called also today to see if I could get a second RFE for finger print this time. The first one was for employment verification back in Novermber. More or less the conversation result was like yours. She had no clue and I will never ever call them again. I also asked if I had to apply for another EAD so I could replace my IEAD when it expires and she said it is too confusing and she does not know. Ok neither do I. Let's wait and see how this disaster comes to an end...

I called IIO today too, 02043 case, LA area....

the woman's english has heavy accent, as what I understood, they will assign the case to an officer next week....let's see...:o
 
Har har! I've talked to IIO in March. Believe it or not, but she told me that in about two weeks AOS cases will start picking up speed. What's wrong with those people, do they know of any time period other than two weeks?
