Finally i managed to speek to a IIO today and i told them that i have been waiting for 23 months and enquired on my case for 4 times with no response, and i told her i dont know what to do, she said "Sir, i also dont know what to do, since you send those enquiries , all what we can do is to send another enquiry" ..

Can you believe this ........................, even a second tier officer can not help you, There is no way for IIO to contact VSC center by phone!!!!!

Dude my RD is Oct 1, 2001 but I did 2nd FP last month, there is nothing you can do now, it's a blackhole, and when you get out it is just luck, so much for reforms.

MSHAKER...I am also a NOV 01 ...boat. Contacted 2 nd tier yesterday..but all they did was tell me the same thing which is stated on web site. There is no 2nd tier I believe....it is just a facade.
 
I think Government is just wasting their money by paying those IIOs. They are just plain useless.
 
I initiated three queries and didn't get response for any of them.
I moved to a new address last year and filed AR-11 and updated VSC with the same.
During one of the queries, one lady told me that VSC will not have the correct address unless I got a response from VSC stating that the address has been updated. And then she took my old address and new address (after almost one year of my move) and promised to update the system and send a response.
I haven't got any response from them. Everytime I call them, they take my old and new address and telling the same story. I don't know what address they got in VSC system.
But my wife called them for the address change and got a response also within 2 weeks.
 
Just wondering...

I too initiated 2 queries and never rcvd a response. Is this 'coz I am a secondary applicant? Edison_NJ, Equinox, MSHAKER - are you all secondary applicants? Or you're the primary ones and still did not get any response for your queries?
 
I was surprised that I got a prompt response from VSC.
Basically it was nothing new - the letter says "Your case is pending Service consideration".

I called them right after I crossed the 20 months wait, the lady said that she would open an inquiry to VSC. She said it would take 3-4 weeks before I heard something from VSC.
And guess what .. on the 28th day from my call, I saw a letter from VSC :D :D

I wish VSC would have been this prompt in processing I-485!!
 
vidongre, wrong answer, Me and my wife called separately in a single day and initiated status query. We both got response on 23rd day from when we called stating the same thing. My wife is the secondary applicant of me.
 
WheresMahGreen - I thought you already got your GC? no?

I think they are using our files to keep them warm :D :D
Winter is just around the corner; the reason why they're piling up papers!
 
As Usual...

My case is same as Edison_NJ. I changed the address for both me and my wife. She got a reply but not me. Our RD 01/14/02 ND 01/25/02 FP1 06/03/02. After that no reply as yet.
