Hello,

I spoke to a very kind IIO today about my case : ND 03/2000.
I haven\'t received a FP notice yet. she said that INS had sent out an FP notice in Feb 2000. My attorney says that he never received the FP notice.
My case is already with an officer.

Will he deny my case if he figures out that there is no FP done on that case?

No he won\'t. You should have requested to issue another FP notice. I think U can ask yr attorney to talk to the INS directly. They can reach INS easily (I believe they can call INS on some dedicated line). If he is not willing to do this, then U should call INS again and request for another FP notice. I\'m sure your case will be approved in no time once FP is done.

First of all as suggested earlier, ask your attorney to look for the notice.

The INS will probably issue an RFE in this case for the FP. I would suggest that you act as soon as possible prior to getting the RFE so that you can save time.

Thank you very much for that quick response. Just for your Info:

While I talked to the IIO, I had asked her to re-send the FP notice. She said that she would ask someone to find out if that was possible. she even took my tel no and said she my call me if she comes to know of something.

She looked at my history and said she was seeing notes from one of my previous calls I had made regarding the same matter. Her only concern was that she was not sure what the adjudicating officer would do if he figures out the missing FP approval.

BTW, EAD processing date is 1st week of June , she says.
 
You will get a call from IIO

It happened to me once when I requested to expedite my AP approval. The IIO took my number and the following day she called back with a news that the request had been granted. Hope this helps!
 
getting through to an iio

Hello, I noticed you have talked to an II a few times. I\'m having a very hard time just reaching an II. I have tried calling the 802 527 4913 number many times during all times of the day and always get a busy signal. How did you do it ?

Tips for calling

Hi Led,
Use a fone with redial facility;keep on hitting redial as soon as u get the dial tone - this way within 15-20 mins u will definitely get thru the main number; after that press 0 and hold for approx 10-20 mins (remember its a toll call) and u will get thru an IIO.
Remember not to hang up the fone after few tries and thinking of calling back after 10 mins.this wont work; u have to constantly try since there is just 2 secs gap when ur call can get thru before somebody else occupy that slot!!
i know its pathetic - but hey atleast u have a way to find out the status!!
to just access the Automated message (AVM) pl call after business hours (outside 8am-3pm window) and within 3-5 tries u\'ll get the line!
