Called IIO today (1st Nov)

She said that my application(485) is in "485 department". Does it mean that it is under review or still catching dust? Please clarify.

Interesting. Sounds like your case is being reviewed. But why don\'t you ask her the straight question "Is my case being reviewed?"

I asked the same question twice and she answered me same both the times, "I485 department".

I talked day before yesterday, and the reply was exactly the same words. I asked for further explanation, but said she can\'t say anything more than that. Further she (IIO) added that I should wait for about 8 more weeks to hear anything. When I called a week before, I was told that I should wait for 4-6 weeks.
 What do I make out of it ?...

Dragonbyte- were you able to verify that your application has been changed from EB3 to EB2? I spoke to an IIO today, but she said that the EB category wasn\'t available to her.

Well, IIO i spoke to didn\'t say if i am in EB3 or EB2, but she did say that she has both of my i140\'s and one in EB2. That too only polite ones give away all the info. She said, that I140 info is stored in different part of the application("screen", in her term), so she had to go to that screen to get that info. I had to call thrice before confirming my EB2 I140 being there. Usually they won\'t tell you much just because they have dig through the computer to find out. She said when an officer reviews my case he/she should notice two I140\'s, consider the second one. I am just keeping my finger\'s crossed, huh.
