called IIO for checking FP..

I called IIO today to check if FP is entered into the system. She was not helpful at all. She said my RD is Sep 00 and it will take 1 year to process. I told her I know that, and I\'m just checking if the FP I\'ve done last month has entered their system and she kept on repeating the same thing... Its very upsetting.

Any idea how I can check if FP has reached them. I\'m concerned because, I\'m working in Idaho, which falls under NSC. FBI cleared FP and sent to NSC. I wanted to see if NSC has transferred to VSC. Any comments on what I can do now ?

Just call again after 2 weeks and hopefully you will get a different IIO. Do not confuse them by giving too much details or talking too much. Just say: "Hello Sir (or ma\'am) I have a I-485 application pending in Vermont Serivce Center, I did my finger printing recently, I just want to know whether you have received my finger printing results". He/she should ask you for your A# or EAC number, then give an answer to your question. I normally tell them I do not have my A# with me and give them EAC number. Because, A# pulls out all the applications that are associated (like EADs, APs etc.,) sometimes they look at wrong application and give you the status. So, I give them EAC# which uniquely identifies the application I am talking about and I get more accurate answers.

Thanks for replying Kiran. I was concise in asking, but I\'ll try again after 2 weeks and hope to get a different IIO.

Thanks again.

Hi aGCseeker,
Nothing to worry...
Normally it takes 4 weeks to get into the system(If not electronic FP). Once it entered into the system all scrvice centers would have the access to your FP info. I am positive on this one.

Give some time and call them after 2 weeks just to make sure yourself. Meanwhile, Call FBI and check for results. They are quick, polite, informative. If they say your finger prints are fine, that\'s it, you need not think about it at all..

Hello getmegc,

That\'s a relief to hear. I called up the FBI last month. It was an electronic FP and it was cleared the same day by FBI and sent back to INS NSC. So if the FP info is available to all service centers then, I\'m satisfied to say the least.

Thanks for your help.
