My RD is Feb \'01, ND is Mar\'01, RFE (for BC) ack by AVM on Mar 14th\'02. I called IIO today, and she told me that my case is with an officer, but she had the track of when I called in earlier to check the status of my case.

My question to you experts are :
1. Does the INS keep track of the nbr of times we speak to IIO, and will it be detrimental to the case.
2. Also, if they are sending RFE\'s, will it not be in just one shot, instead of sending multiple RFE\'s ?

Please do let me know your thoughts on these.

RFE was for BC in proper format. So I got the BC done at India, and sent copies of affidavits alongw

Be careful about calling frequently

I think you mentioned in earlier post that Senator\'s office told you that your case is assigned. I think there is no point in calling IIO & confirming that. They do keep track of your calls. If you come across a bad IIO, then he/she may cause some trouble.

Also IIOs sometimes tell you whatever you want them to say. They will tell that case is assigned to get you off their back. But in reality your case is not assigned.

This happened to me once in my EAD extention. In 2nd week of April IIO told me that my case is assigned. So I waited till end of April to hear from NSC & again called on May 3rd. That time IIO told me that my EAD extension case has been assigned on May 2nd. It got approved last week. So do not always trust what IIOs tell you.

Also senator\'s office is more trustworthy. If you do not hear from NSC within the period told you by senator\'s office, then you can tell them to make a call. That way IIOs take thing seriously as now they are dealing with Senator.

Hope this helps,
