This was my first time to call IIO. A lady told me that Everything is OK for my case and I need to wait 1~2 months for final decision.

and somone in the same place asked me to wait for 45 days about 15 days back( check my details ). I guess, they just tell a number that slips out of their mouth. sending the "feel good" feeling .

hey gc_2000: long time no see. did she mentioned ur case is already processed?

I called VSC yesterday and I was kept on hold for 2 hrs. Finally I gave up.
 
I called last week and got a similar response.
She said "eveything looks ok, but I cannot say when your case will be processed because I do not know how many cases are ahead of you"

Dont call unnecessarily

Because of guyz like u, INS is going pull out phones from June 1st. Why do you have to call without reason. The phones are meant to ask clarifications not status updates.
 
Well, my call was to seek clarification if everything was ok in my case. I have seen other postings in this forum which mentioned that some papers were pulled out of storage or something to that effect , because of the call. So calling has actually helped in those cases.

She didn’t mention if my case is already processed.
I am not lucky in GC journey. 11 months for I140 and almost 18 months for I485, still waiting …. My case is very simple, never change job and address. I have a friend who applied I140 5 months later than me but got GC approved in Sep 2002.

Hope we get it done soon.
