Called FBI Name Check division

Hi folks,

Called FBI NNCP division and was told that they are working on emails received between 13th and 15th of Oct.

did she tell u they are working on cases between 1st and 15th oct. She told me that they are working on requests between 13th and 15th oct. I sent one on 12th oct. When i asked her about that she said wait for another week. "We may be just working on that"

Yes. Hopefully you got your feedback just "another week". I sent mine on Dec 03, so I have to wait for another 8-10 weeks.

Is the date "10/13 to 10/15" just the date that they respond our inquiry email? There is no way for us to figure out how soon the name check can be completed. If the response is still "pending", this is a hopeless waiting.
 
yes all that she said was they were responding to emails received between those dates. I dont think they respond only if th name check is completed. In the case of th link u provided i am sure the memeber must have taken help of senator/congressman or pulled some other strings to get his results.

I met with the officer at TSC this morning and my case is still pending due to name check that has not been approved by FBI since 5/7/2003 and the IO told me specifically not to contact FBI either directly or indirectly since it will delay the processing of my name check even further. This is doesn't make sense to me. It will be 2 yrs in may and I have gone through 2nd ead/AP and FP.

I tried the FOIPA and it shows no record found. According to IO, they can't expedite the process, other than waiting.

so any clue, what we should do next?
 
contact congressman/senator and also start sending certified mails to the FBI name check division head Mr Hardy and his boss Mr Hooton. Some congressman/senator do help with FBI name check but most dont. Look for Rahul Kumars posting under the citizenship section of the forum for mailing address and other details

That will be my last resort, IO really scare me by saying that, any inquiry will slow down the process.
Thanks for the input, I have read the whole thread about, I am preparing my ammo now.

And there are ppl who had sent their e-mail to FBI on Jan 5th and got back
reply on Jan 19th. Even FBI like USCIS replies back randomly.

I had also sent my e-mail for my wife on Jan 5th. No reply back as yet.
 
I sent my email inquiry to FBI on Dec 2, 2004 but no reply was received yet.

I talked to Senator John Cornyn's office and was told that they could not help on NAME CHECK.

Endless waiting...
