Call TSC and confuse yourself!

I finally called TSC today. The lady told me that my security clerance was pending. I asked if she meant name check. She pleaded ignorance and repeated again that my security clearance was pending. She said she didn't know what that meant and all she could do was read off of the system. On my asking how long she thought the approval would take- "I don't know" was the answer.

When I had called TSC in August last year, I was told everything was a go and they were just waiting on a visa number.

Guess, there's no point calling TSC. It just confuses and frustates the hell out of you.

Once again a classic case for involving your lawyer into the enquiry, I think. Let him/her earn their dollars.

But, at least you have heard the TSC voice while the most of time people can only hear the system is temporary shut down. Of course, what you heard has no different from the others hear the system shut down.

VSC is not much better. At infopass (2 month ago) i was told that all checks are cleared, but when i called VSC (this Monday) i've been told that namecheck is pending... go figure

TSC -- my experience

Here is my experience:
I called two months ago, they told me my name check was pending and my wife's name check is over and her 485 process should be over soon. Today I called and I get quite a courteous CSR and he tells me both of us have name check pending with fbi and he said even fbi may not know when they will be done. Who to believe ....

Not only that, I asked him to check my pending AP application. I don't have receipt number as my company lawyers donot give that out as policy, he could not find any AP application under my name and A#. Since I received my 485 FP notice in mail so I know the SRC for it atleast. Any way per my lawyer's email . it has been filed. They (so called largest immigration practice in US) even advice us not to call USCIS because it may be counter productive. Who and What to believe?

TSC is not alone. Had similar experience with NSC

Last year, I was trying to find out through Congressman's office why my case was not getting processed. After couple weeks, they informed me that my file was ready for adjudication (all kind of security checks completed for me and the family) but visa numbers are not available.

It was september 2005 and EB2 was current for all.

Around the same time I got a letter in mail from NSC, response to my status enquiry, that my name check was still pending.

When I approached Congressman's office again with the fact that date was current and kind of response I got from USCIS, they again spoke to someone in NSC and were told that the case was ready for adjudication but they can not process as FP have expired. They needed to order for FP.

By the time FP was done, retrogression kicked in....and I am still waiting..

So TSC is not alone.

Vow! :) Did you consider an AILA inquiry?

KJ,

No, I preferred to sleep on it until date becomes current. I got a RFE for medical reports in last week of April and have sent the documents to the attorney for submitting to USCIS.

I hope that my date becomes current in next visa bulletin and it will be around the same time that my RFE response will reach USCIS.

So hoping for some action in next month or two.
