Call for action: Why don’t we folks send emails and ask how we can help

Here it the news from Murthy.com. They have tried helping us by contacting the politicians on April 11. It has been two months and you folks know what progress TSC has made during this time.

You can see that most of the points in here needs action from the government.

Here is the article that explains the delays and requesting for our help
http://www.murthy.com/ukreason.html

Please send an email to law@murthy.com. In the email
Subject: Your news release “Reasons for delays”. How can I help your office on this.
Attach this URL in the email http://www.murthy.com/ukreason.html and ask for what we can do to help push this.

Mr Khanna is also helping out by talking to a few politicians.
We have to rely on Mr. Khanna and Murthy to get us out of this delays.

Please spend two minutes of your time in sending an email.

tru:

This news brief is from which date? Is it the latest? Just curious....

I guess this goes back to "money" issue....

Can we ask "Murthy" to ask BCIS if they will accept money from us? If we go at this rate of approvals, i have no hope of getting approved atleast in the next 2 years!!

My RD/ND is April 2002.

only MONEY will talk it seems and let us try to do something similar to H1B premium, other wise if we give money it is going to a common fund with no guarantee that 485 will be processed.

So a humble suggestion for people who have filed in 2000 pay a certain amt of money say x for processing, for 2001 fliers x + y, for 2002 x+y+z and for 2003 x+y+z+d

Yes this is the latest. Don’t know the exact date (some time last week or this week). Send your email to murthy and ask about the money idea.

However say if BCIS were to do premium processing for 485’s, that would mean BCIS coming up with guidelines, timelines etc. And in-order for BCIS to do something like this they would need pressure from the government. Everything that BCIS does ties back to the governmental bodies.

My two cents.

I have sent an email to Murthy as follows:

==========================================
Thanks for your efforts to improve the processing times.

We have been discussing on the chat boards about collecting money from the 485 filers and give it to BCIS for employment based 485-adjudications.

Is it possible for you to address this with BCIS especially with Texas which is far behind other centres.

The only condition from us is that money needs to be used "only for employment based 485 adjudications".

Please let me know if you can take this up with BCIS.

I appreciate your help.

I will let you know if I get any response.

Okay, here is the reply I got from Murthy in reference to the issue of funding BCIS for 485 adjudications:

==========================================
Thank you for your eMail. Unfortunately, the solution is
not this simple.
The appropriations process used by our government to fund
its various
divisions is very complex. It is not possible to
essentially donate money to
the Texas Service Center to allow them to hire more people.
If this is the
case, I suspect that all of the immigration lawyers in the
country would
have established a collection for this purpose.

Immigration law is purely federal in nature. No State in
the U.S. is allowed
to pass any legislation in connection with immigration
matters under the
doctrine of preemption.

NOW WHAT ?
