California DOL (Regional) Tracking

hot to check the status of my labor

I had applied my labor in CA in Oct 2002. Could someone pls explain how can i know the status of my case. I understand that there is a SESA level and DOL level. when will i get like a DOT case number etc. could someone pls explain the process .thx

The concept of PERM originated when the economy was in a boom.
It would have worked great then.

But given the present market conditions, it is a nightmare for anyone who has to get labor certification for GC.

However when the job market improves and remains stable, PERM will be a boon in the long run.

I am confusing because Dol is looking at Nov. 2003 cases.

I am waiting too long!

Can anybody give me a comment?

Can you share any info if there is anyone who is in the same situation?

I'm assuming you typed DOD instead of DOL...

DoD I believe refers to Department of Defense whereas DOL is department of Labor.

An assessment notice is typically sent by EDD -which is the first stage of Labor....The DOL sends Notice of Findings....

If DOL received your reply in June 2003, they sshould have taken it up by now...you should contact your attorney and have them call DOL.

Hi, Has anybody got the approval for entry level position with salary around 40k. I recently got a 3 Question NOF. My company is ready to support me but dont know whether dol will approve the case. If anybody gone through the same please suggest referrals. The work i do is very specific so what kind i letter should the company provide to dol.

Case History...Result??

So after waiting for over two years this is what my case looks like:
PD:8/01
Case transferred to DOL : 7/02
Case remanded by DOL : 5/03

My HR sent me an email saying that my case has been moved to regular processing as RIR was rejected and it will take another 2-3 years before DOL opens the case again.I looked up the DOL processing time and it says 6/02 for regular.....
so now my question:
1. What actually happened with my case? Is someone else in the same boat?
2. I dont believe my HR saying that it will take another 2-3 years before they open the case again...
Does it mean that they have put the file aside and will open it after a while or they just put the case in the regular processing queue and maybe they will open my case when they start processing 7/02 ...
Please help as I have not much time left on my H1 and I need to make a decision about this GC haveing some hope or its better to start a new H1 somewhere else. I work for a networking startup which has had layoffs....

vish- sorry to hear that your case was remanded.

I'm not sure how EDD takes up cases that were remanded.

Though I do understand that the original Priority date is taken in to account, I believe they do take some time before they get to a remanded case.
If I were you, I would not wait to see what the EDD does with your case. I would try to apply labor in a faster processing state thru another employer if possible....anyway good luck.

Case update

i'm not sure if anyone here remembers my previous postings. my case was sent back to EDD back in may to get further information about my application. we supplied all the materials that EDD asked for at the end of august. we just got a letter from EDD saying that they reviewed all the papers and sent it back to DOL for processing. i'm not sure if my application will reatin the old PD at DOL. let me know if anyone here has any idea on this.....
