My interview was on 20th june at Mumbai consulate and poe newark is today.
Everything was smooth and experience is similar to others.
I am very much thankfull to everybody in this board for their kind cooperation and help.

Congrats !!! One question ...

I had seen that u went to India with an expired visa and I-94 but with a H1B receipt. Did that cause any problems while travelling? Which airlines did u take?

I have a similar question and may go via amsterdam or london ...

I flew thru Air France and I had to take transit visa for Paris.
But while coming back I had no problem as I was carrying the IV docs with me.
During doc collection the guy asked for approval but I said I have only receipt as the case has not yet been adjudicated but he could not understand and told me that officer may ask question on this issue you better make him understand.
But officer did not ask anything regarding this.
Interview took at most 30 secs(no kidding).

I\'ld like to know that whether you have sent all the originals like h1/h4, i-94, etc(+ 1 copy) as stated on web site or just the copies are enough. Please let me know what all documents you sent to them. If they don\'t get the all the docs, i heard that they will return your case. Your help is appreciated.

I do not know what do you mean.
I did not send any docs any where.
I carried evrything with me for the interview at Mumbai.
 
GhoshT, I was talking about .....

....transit visa. Sorry for the confusion. When I was reading france website, it says (+ 1 copy) for the docs needed. So just wanted to confirm that what you sent them to get your transit visa.
