Hybrid
is something which runs on electric and also uses gas at some point. I do not know exactly. But it gives something like 50-60 miles per gallon. Also, i think there are cars which create thier own hydrogen and run on it. I think they were testing it as it poses a fire hazard on the road. Most importantly, all of these are environment friendly.

I find it quite comfortable and nice to drive. Subarus are all wheel drives.
It is considered to be one of the most reliable cars around.
I average over 25 miles to the gallon, far better than most SUVs.
There are very few SUVs in the $30000 price range that are highly rated. Most are not worth it. Definitely check out edmunds.com and mycarstats.com. That website gives you information about which cars get the most complaints.
