I am also a Brit. Same story as for the rest of you. I started with Labor Certification in 1998 (so slow that when RIR came in my company superseded the original application). Still waiting for I-485 approval.

No, You cannot change your girlfriend after 180 days. Infact I even inform BCIS when i take sh#t in my own bathroom. so far they have approved me of taking sh#t expect for once when they said come and take it at CSC so we can see you are not lying to us.....

Yeah, they might introduce a AM21 (American Matrimonials in the 21 Century Act) that will provide guidelines on how to change wife/girlfriend after 180 <more like 365> days
