Does anyone on the forum has any idea if it is possible to pass through Britain with re-entry permit. To be clear I am planing to transit Britain to a third country. I am travelling from US Via Britain by British airways. Anyone with experience, please share... thanks in advance

I believe that they allow you to transit if you have a green card. This may or may not allow you to leave the airport--you need to double check that.

Yes you can transit without requiring a transit visa if you're U.S resident. You'll only be allowed to remain within the airport. Check www.britainusa.com for more information.
