Bringing spouse(H4)using 7th year H1B extension

As my 6 yr H1B is expiring in Jan 2004 and my current employer is going to do 7th yr extension.

As I am planning to get married in Feb 2004. can I able to bring my spouse using this extended H1B. Why I raise this question is because one attorny confused me saying that 7th year extension is just a status of extended stay.

If anyone know any better, pls let me know.

Yes, you can once you get 7th year H1 approved, send the 7th year H1b approval notice to your wife with other required documents
