Bringing Parents ; from India to USA

Hi,

We are exploring bringing our parents( Dad 80yr; Mom 73yr old) from Mumbai to Boston.
What are things should I think of before going that way.

Here are few.
1. Cold Boston Weather
2. Will they adjust.
3. Medical ( can they use medicare).
4. Will they find life lonely here.. no festivals, other relatives, lack of mobility.

Please let me know if you have done it already.

Item1: It is for them to decide. have they visited Boston in winter? If yes, how did they like it? It is a good idea to visit just to get a feel for it before making such a life changing decision.
Item 3: No, they are not eligible for medicare or any other government healthcare program. After 5 years of beiing permanent residents they will be able to buy into Medicare. Private insurance is very expensive but in MA you have RomneyCare which might help.
Items 2 and 4: Ask them.
 
They are not eligible for medicare. Even with Romneycare, health insurance for someone thier ages will cost at least $8000/year each.
