If you have passed 180 days after applying 485 and your 140 is still not yet cleared then i believe that the Employer still controls your 140 as it is still under his control, i guess the 180 days only counts after your 140 is cleared and all these rules apply only after 140 is cleared!!

I think 180 days clock for I-485 starts from the RD for I-485, whether I-140 is pending or approved.

If its approved, be happy, clock will keep rolling.

If I-140 denied/withdrawn by employer, your clock time is multiplied by Zero.
