I took my Oath for US Citizenship today. Finally, one more step is completed in my immigrant life starting with F1 visa 16 years ago, then H1-B, Green Card and now Citizenship.
I also applied for passport at the post office and expect to get it on 6/4/07.

This forum has been a great support for me all through my Citizenship process. Thank you all who are contributing to this forum. Good Luck to all who are still in the process of getting to their "Destiny" and I sincerely hope you get there soon, very soon.

Some important things I learned today.

1. Its OK to make copies of your Nat. Certificate for your own records and if you need to send it ti USCIS for family member's petition.
2. Sign you Nat. Certificate exactly the same way you signed your Photos during interview. One of those photos in on your Nat. Certificate and make sure both those signatures match.
3. If you have kids under 18, with valid Green Card, you can apply for their US passport also.

Congratulations!!

Passport arrived today via FedEx.
I used services of www.arushpassport.com, They applied my passport on Thursday and picked it up on Friday. Mailed it on Friday evening for Monday's delivery date. Arrived at local FedEx office Saturday morning. One nice person from FedEx called me Saturday morning and asked me if I want to go over to FedEx office to pick it up, otherwise they will deliver it on Monday. Guess what ....... I was at FedEx location within the hour :)
This is an e-Passport with updated security features and micro-chip for scaning it electronically.

Warmest congratulations to you. I got my oath letter today !! Thanks also on the passport service link. I never thought of that .....

The 3rd party services are useful if you need to do a couple of day expedited processing (and you have proof of immediate travel) and you don't live in one of the 14 places with Passport Agencies. I can't imagine they do much better than the post office in other cases. Or, am I missing something.

Congrats!
