Guys,

When I went yesterday to apply for Advance Parole I realized that the new fee schedule is in place and the fee for Advance Parole is now $305. I travel once a year to visit my parents and I think it is my time to protest.

As a person stuck in USCIS backlogs I decided to stop encouraging USCIS keeping me as a half-way through and yet benefit from it. I stop renewing my AP unless I absolutely must. Neither will american airlines will see me as a customer buying tickets for travel.

Boycott new interim benefits fee schedule!

Hear! Hear!!

cash cows... thats SO very appropriate!

I am so ^%&^%$ MAD!!!!!

over 2 months and still waiting for a damn AP/EAD!!!

I just happened to pass up a cool work from home part time offer at 50 bucks an hour and missed a big family wedding back in June due to these delays. Been over 4 yrs since I visited home!

I'm MAD MAD MAD!

NSC sucks... n I HATE being a victim of this backlog.

How can you boycott? You can choose not to renew your EAD/AP, in which case you will not be able to reenter once you step outside the country.

rir_or,
I understand the feeling....I am in the same boat here!!
This time I told my employer to pay for 3rd EAD/AP for me and spouse or else look for another engineer...My threat worked and they paid for it and they are also paying for H1B extension! I guess you can try the same trick!
BTW I stopped travelling on american airlines long time ago...and that is in addition to dropping my plans to buy a house and other investment properties in the US.....I am staying away from any contribution to the economy unless I see approval of my long pending AOS....period!

I applied for the AP in the last week of July to avoid extra fees but due to large volume of Application because of fees increase and open gate for new I-485 application, I am wondering how many months they will take to put the Application their system. Then process the application itself will take long time.

Thanks,
DK

I applied AP only once in 2004, didnt use it and also didnt find any proper reason to renew and didnt renew again.

But I think its my duty to pay back to the community/society/country where I am living, its just my opinion.
