Without much ado, I wish to announce the approval of our family’s 485 applications. RD = Nov 8, 2001. Other details in Rupnet.
We (me and my wife) have been silent spectators of the wonderful ‘stage’ that this forum is! Thanks to its sponsors.
We gained from the insights provided and winced at the infights some of the members had!
This forum is a living example of unity in diversity. And, with a tinge of sadness, I must also say, of diversity in unity.
The imaginative (and not so imaginative) nom de plumes of the forum members! I always wonder as to what could be the meaning and reason behind Roran’s Id?? Milk probably is a dairy scientist. Greaty K must be great(l)y K(een) to provide service to users. When are names like honey, coke, globetrotter, Laptop, Lapdog, Samsung going to be taken? For guys with a date fetish, I wish to suggest August 15h, 4th of July etc. And not September 11 though.
If we (GC seekers) were to have a Football team would it be called ‘Migrants’? And what happens in Patriots vs. Migrants match.
If we sport a basket ball team, can we name the team of hoopsters as Roopnetters??
Would our baseball team be called Brave Indians or a more universal Global Americans?
And those colorful signature bylines! They remind me of grafitti behind trucks (lorries) back in India. Of course we are taking the concept of legal disclaimers to greater lengths and turning it upside down. Sometime we should chat about lorry graffiti in India!
What a great bunch of guys and gals do we have! Humor queens (Go Roran Go!), Rumor kings, Rabble-rousers and temper dousers! And eager (legal too) eagles who present every piece of immigration news published any/everywhere to this forum. Then there are the wise consuls who clear doubts, provide sane advice and arrange ruffled feathers. I have an observation here. Most of the wise counsels wait longer than their RD group for their approval! And then slowly fade away after their approval. I guess they are god’s agents with a limited tenure on the board.
Should we discuss non-immigration matters here? I would think so. But with moderation and respect to other’s feelings and opinions! May be some senior members should take up the mantle of ombudsmen and steer the discussions towards decorum.
Then there is Roopnet, the stock exchange for GC seekers! And a true weather channel that projects the mood and productivity of INS! I used to watch it every often daily for that incremental posting. How thrilled I used to get at the progress of other RD months!
We got it, guys. You will get it. If you don’t get it they don’t get IT! And your services and your IT (IRS Kitty this time).
