BOTH H1 Extension AND H1 Transfer

Hi,

My consulting company is willing to get my H1 extented. They asked me to send me the documents for extension.

Meanwhile there is another company willing to do a H1 transfer.

Can both of them apply at same time? For extension/transfer?
What would the issues be?

Make a choice. Let one company file H1 transfer. FYI at this time USCIS is getting lot of H1 transfer and extension petitions filed by consulting companies. USCIS asks for client agreement till the date of LCA filed with H1 extension. It is better to go with direct employer and not with consulting company.
